ABOUT US
- We are a modern employers' organisation, bringing together large, medium and small business entities operating in the engineering or related industries.
- Our mission is to represent and defend the interests of our members, above all in collective bargaining with trade union organisations during the preparation of higher-level collective agreements, and in negotiations with the state executive and trade union bodies within the Economic and Social Council of the Slovak Republic.
- Among our foremost tasks are supporting the development of the Slovak engineering industry and establishing and deepening contacts with partner organisations abroad.
- We continually strive to deepen our presence among the organisations of the industry and to bring them together in a joint effort to achieve the prosperity of the Slovak engineering industry.
- We are a member of the Association of Industrial Unions and Transport (APZD).
BODIES
General Assembly
It is the highest body of ZSP SR. It is composed of representatives of all member companies. Its exclusive competence includes approving amendments and additions to the statutes, and it also approves the budget and the financial statements. It elects and recalls members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board. It sets the amount of the membership fee and decides on the exclusion of a member from the Association. It meets at least once a year.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the governing and decision-making body of the Association. It decides on all matters, while being guided by the decisions of the General Assembly and ensuring their fulfilment. It elects and recalls the president and the vice-presidents, and appoints and recalls the Secretary General of the Association. It decides on the admission of new members and on the termination of membership. It meets at least 4 times a year.
Executive Committee
The members of the Executive Committee are the president, the vice-presidents and the Secretary General of the Association. Its task is to carry out the resolutions of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors. It drafts and issues internal organisational standards, directives and regulations. It meets whenever requested by any member of the Executive Committee.
Supervisory Board
It is the highest supervisory body of ZSP SR. It consists of five members elected by the General Assembly. The members of the Supervisory Board elect and recall a chairperson, who convenes and chairs the meetings of the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board oversees the financial management of ZSP SR and submits to the General Assembly a proposal for the settlement of the financial result.
Secretariat
It oversees the organisational, communication, information and administrative agenda of ZSP SR. The Secretariat is responsible for the running of the entire Association. The staff of the Secretariat ensure active internal and external communication. They provide information to the public and communicate with state authorities and specialist public institutions. They regularly inform members about legislative processes, draft laws and current developments in selected areas in Slovakia as well as abroad. The activities of the Secretariat are directed and organised by the Secretary General.
