Cooperation and honest dialogue about the way forward
Slovak industry represents a fundamental pillar of our economy. It employs more than a third of Slovaks, which makes us the second most industrial country in the European Union.
In recent years, Slovak industrialists have been experiencing difficult times. They have to cope with a slowing global economy, the geopolitical situation, volatile energy costs, changed supply routes, but also with the consolidation of public finances, which is largely carried out in the spirit of increasing the tax and levy burden on companies.
All these challenges are addressed on a daily basis by the members of the Association of Industrial Unions and Transport, an organisation that brings together Slovak production on both a professional and a club basis.
In today's dynamically changing world, cooperation between the top representatives of the state and industry is irreplaceable. Only by joining forces can we respond to change and contribute to building an environment for successful business. It is all the more important that a lively and open dialogue takes place between us. It is precisely in informal conversations that we often find inspiration that leads to effective solutions.
The Gala Evening of Slovak Industry and Transport, which will take place on 9 November 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava hotel, will therefore be dedicated to building relationships and seeking new opportunities. We expect 350 guests to attend, including company owners and directors, government ministers, state representatives and experts.
The event is by personal invitation of the President of the APZD.
