29th edition of the International Engineering Fair in Nitra

The Engineering Industry Union of the Slovak Republic again took part this year in the International Engineering Fair, which was held on 21 – 24 May 2024 at the Agrokomplex exhibition grounds in Nitra. This prestigious edition of the fair welcomed 119 exhibitors from 16 countries of the world, and within it a number of the latest technologies and innovations from the world of engineering were presented.

The ZSP SR stand

The stand of the Engineering Industry Union of the Slovak Republic attracted great attention from visitors. This year two member companies of the Union also exhibited in it: M-D-J, spol. s.r.o. and NORTHON s.r.o.. Both companies earned recognition for their innovations and the high quality of their products. Visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted in detail with their latest products and technologies, while experts from both companies provided expert consultations and presentations.

Opening of the fair

The International Engineering Fair was ceremonially opened by the cutting of the ribbon by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic Kamil Šaško, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice Jozef Živčák and the director of the Agrokomplex exhibition grounds Jozef Pavle. The exhibition pavilions M1, M2, M3 and the open area E provided visitors with space to discover the latest technologies on an exhibition area covering 9 575 m².

Bootstrap Themes

The first day of the fair was concluded with a gala evening, which was dedicated to exhibitors, manufacturers and partners. During the evening, awards were presented, where the company BIBUS SK, s.r.o. won the award for the most beautiful exposition. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice took home the award for the best scientific and technical presentation, which was awarded by the Union of Slovak Scientific and Technical Societies (ZSVTS).

Interesting moments

One of the highlights of the fair was the unveiling of the ENGLER V12 supersport car - superquad, which is the result of cooperation between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice and the company ENGLER AUTOMOTIVE Košice.

 

Accompanying events

The fair offered a rich accompanying programme, including the first Slovak Championship in Simulated Welding, which was organised by Agrokomplex NÁRODNÉ VÝSTAVISKO, štátny podnik and ZSVTS in cooperation with the companies FORMICA and EWM. Within this championship, Matúš Zámečník placed first, Ján Zábušek took second place and Roman Kamenický finished third.

In addition, the XXVI edition of the nationwide ELECTRON conference was also held, focused on the inspection, design, maintenance and installation of electrical equipment.

 

The Engineering Industry Union of the Slovak Republic, together with its member companies M-D-J, spol. s.r.o. and NORTHON s.r.o., once again became a significant part of this international event, with all of them together contributing their innovative technologies and solutions to the success of the fair. We are already looking forward to the 30th edition of the International Engineering Fair, which will take place from 20 to 23 May 2025.
