Cross-company education centre – SET THE QUALITY AND DIRECTION

The cross-company education centre (NVC) is a designation defining the status of an employer in the provision of practical training and the provision of continuing education, which connects pupils (of secondary vocational schools), schools (pedagogical and professional staff, masters of vocational training) and other employers (instructors, employees). This designation is not just an ordinary attribute in the name, but represents a mark of quality for the employer. It represents a specific sector of the economy and is the so-called „showcase“ or „display window“ of the given sector.

In Slovakia we so far have two employers designated as cross-company education centres, namely: Deutsch – Slowakische Akademien, a.s. and Duálna akadémia, z.z.p.o.

Is that really the maximum number?

Given the number of companies and the fact that Slovakia is an industrial country, we assume that a more substantial number of employers could attain this prestige.

If you are an employer who

  • has provided practical training in the dual education system for at least three years to pupils who have concluded an apprenticeship contract with another employer,
  • regularly carries out the professional development of pedagogical staff, the professional preparation of instructors or lead instructors,
  • cooperates with universities in the development of vocational education and training,
  • is not afraid of challenges,
  • meets the strict conditions,
  • and wants to keep improving…

…then you are on a good path to becoming an NVC. You can find the procedure for becoming an employer using the NVC designation here.

We will guide you along the way so that you become the „helmsman“ of the quality of vocational education and training in your sector and set the direction for others. For more detailed information, do not hesitate to contact us at nemcova@apzd.sk.
