Zuzana Čimová, the host, discussed the employment of foreigners in Slovakia, where companies complain about bureaucracy in obtaining work visas. Ukrainian workers in truck transport praise the better pay and accommodation in Slovakia. A new law could simplify the process of employing foreigners and speed up administrative procedures.
Companies complain that although the government has increased the number of visas for Indians or Filipinos, bureaucracy is ruining it. For work visas for people from third countries they apparently wait long months. They are relying on a new law that the tripartite body already had on the table.
If the law passes, under the new rules foreigners whom employers need will no longer have to wait for a stamp from the foreign police. A confirmation from the labour office that they can fill the vacancy will be sufficient.
