In the 20 years of Slovakia's EU membership, entrepreneurs appreciate the opening of the single market without restrictions and customs tariffs. Membership brought advantages such as the removal of duties, simplified cooperation with partners and new resources for the economy. Nevertheless, entrepreneurs point to the growing bureaucracy and the increase in regulations in the EU.
One of the greatest benefits of Slovakia's EU membership is the opening of the single market with a multitude of business opportunities without restrictions at the borders and without paying customs tariffs. The free movement of goods, services, capital and the mobility of workers is very important, the representatives of employers agreed. But entrepreneurs also pointed to the growing bureaucracy, the increase in regulations and the assertion of the national interests of individual member states of the union.
EU membership and accession to the Schengen area simplified the movement of goods and services, brought new resources to the economy in the form of EU funds and foreign investments, and was an impulse for significant economic growth.
