The first companies have already joined the pilot collection of data on work ability. Will you join

The pilot data collection within the national project "Age management: Work adapted to life stages" is getting fully underway and the first companies are already actively filling in work ability questionnaires. We are very pleased by the positive approach of respondents and organisations that want to better understand their employees and prepare for the future of the labour market.

Why is age management such an important topic today?

Demographic development is relentless — the population is ageing, the labour market is changing and companies increasingly feel a shortage of qualified people. Modern organisations therefore no longer deal only with performance, but also with how to keep employees healthy, motivated and able to work for as long as possible.

And this is precisely where age management comes into play. Its goal is to create a working environment that respects the needs of people in different life stages and supports them throughout their entire working life.

After all, our work ability is one of the greatest assets we have. It affects not only how we work, but also our health, satisfaction, relationships and quality of life. That is why it is important to build the so-called „house of work ability“ — systematically taking care of health, competencies, working conditions, motivation and interpersonal relationships from the very first years of working life.

What is work ability and why is it important?

Work ability expresses how well a person can manage their work with regard to health, age, working conditions, competencies or mental well-being. When we know it, we can better set up the working environment, education, generational cooperation and support for employees so that they can work in a healthy, satisfied and long-term way.

This is precisely why this project came into being. To help companies and the nation as a whole obtain real data on employees' work ability and better prepare for the changing conditions of the labour market. By joining the project, organisations gain a valuable insight into their working environment as well as specific recommendations for further development. You can learn more at www.celozivotnakariera.sk.

What do companies gain by joining the project?

Participating organisations receive:

  • an output report on the state of age management in the company,
  • an overview of the work ability of their employees,
  • a relevant comparison of data within their sector.

At the same time, the anonymised data will also serve as an important basis for the creation of national policies and strategies in the area of the labour market, employment and lifelong learning.

Modern employers age wisely

Age management is not a topic of the future. It is a topic of today, and companies that start addressing it in time will be far better prepared for the challenges of the labour market.

If you want to gain a better overview of your employees' work ability in your company or to learn more about the possibilities of joining the project, do not hesitate to contact us.
